About Us

Lee Krieger has been working with wood since the year 2000. Starting as a hobby, his woodworking progressed from building utility boxes, historical reproductions, and finally professional grade musical instruments worthy of recording and performance. The majority of wood is recycled by some means and is acquired through many ways. It is usually purchased at a significant discount due to defects rendering it useless for major commercial sales, odds and ends from another wood worker, and donations. If you have any wood for donation, please feel free to contact me. Lee is apprenticed to Jeff Lewis of Lewis Creek Instruments on a part time basis in an effort to become a luthier.

Lee graduated in 2007 from Siena Heights University with a Bachelors of Arts majoring in Music with a minor in History. He is also completing his Masters degree in Humanities through Central Michigan University with a projected date of graduation in Fall 2009. Lee plays the Celtic harp, piano, Native American Flute, and a few other instruments. Lee's goal is to build and perform with professional grade music instruments and also provide compositions and arrangements for the instruments.
